don't let your rights get trampled!
This website aims to not only educate U.S. citizens of what their rights are, but also how to protect those rights during interactions with law enforcement.
Each year, more than 50 million people in the United States will have contact with law enforcement. That breaks down to over 1.5 law enforcement interactions EVERY SINGLE SECOND here in the U.S.
While most interactions are routine with no misconduct occurring, educating yourself can help you be sure that your next encounter is safe and lawful as well.
Please keep in mind that nothing on this website is meant to be, nor should it be taken as, legal advice.

Activist Directory
More and more citizens are filming law enforcement during their duties. Learn from their interactions.
They have been called First Amendment Auditors, Copwatchers, or simply activists. Whatever you want to call them, they are out on the streets and other public property doing their best to educate both public servants and the general public about our Constitutional rights.
Browse our activist directory to learn both your rights as well as what not to do during interactions with public officials.
How can YOU make a change?
One of the best things that you can do is always film law enforcement interactions! Video is exactly why we remember Philando Castile, Walter Scott, and Tyre Nichols.
You can also contact your elected officials and encourage them to pass legislation eliminating qualified immunity and otherwise hit problem officers with appropriate consequences.
Why should YOU care?
Here in the United States, law enforcement is a violent business. For example, an officer will kill someone every 8 hours on average! What if the next person is someone that you love? What if the next person is YOU?
Law enforcement also sends someone's friend or loved one to the hospital every 9 minutes and injures a citizen (not requiring hospitalization) every 2 minutes!
